1 Person Dies in Los Angeles Car Collision on Santa Monica (10) Freeway
Los Angeles, California (January 21, 2023) – The California Highway Patrol officers are investigating a car collision that happened Saturday morning in Los Angeles, killing one person.
The multi-vehicle collision transpired at around 5:40 a.m. on the eastbound Santa Monica (10) Freeway at Crenshaw Boulevard in the Jefferson Park community.
CHP said about five vehicles were involved in the accident, and one overturned.
Responding emergency personnel said one person died in the accident.
Several traffic lanes remained closed for several hours as authorities investigated.
