North Highlands, California (October 28, 2020) – One person was killed and another injured in a multi-vehicle accident on Wednesday morning in North Highlands, authorities said.

The deadly accident transpired at about 1:20 a.m., at the intersection of Watt and Myrtle avenues.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the authorities were pursuing an Audi that had failed to yield to a traffic stop in the area.

The Audi is reportedly crashed into two other vehicles at the intersection. As a result of the collision, the Audi’s driver and passenger were ejected onto the roadway.

Sadly, the passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver sustained major injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
