1 Killed, 1 Injured in Plane Crash on South Navy Way in San Pedro

San Pedro, California (February 20, 2021) – A pilot was killed and another person was seriously injured in a crash involving a single-engine plane and a big rig on Friday in San Pedro, the police said

The crash was reported at around 12:30 p.m. February 19, in the 2500 block of South Navy Way.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, a single-engine Piper PA-32 crashed into a semi-tractor trailer truck in unclear circumstances.

The pilot was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

A 30-year-old man in the truck was seriously injured and was transported to the hospital for treatment.

The accident remains under investigation.
