1 Killed in Car Accident on Highway 242 near Highway 4 in Concord
Concord, California (November 30, 2020) – At least one person was killed in a car crash in Concord on Sunday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 11:30 p.m. November 29, on Highway 242 near Highway 4.
A Honda Civic reportedly lost control and crashed into a concrete barrier before overturning onto its roof in a dirt embankment.
The impact of the collision ejected the driver from the vehicle.
The 22-year-old Concord man who was driving the car suffered minor injuries in the accident.
A Pittsburg man who was riding in the vehicle was ejected onto the roadway and was hit by a passing vehicle. The man was pronounced dead at the scene by the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office.
