1 Killed in Fallbrook Motorcycle Crash on Interstate 15 Freeway
Fallbrook, California (February 23, 2021) – A motorcyclist was killed in a collision in Fallbrook on Monday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision was reported at around 1:15 p.m. February 22, on Interstate 15 near Deer Springs Road.
The CHP said a 2008 Kawasaki motorcycle was racing a Mazda Sedan, and they were both driving recklessly.
The CHP officers tried to stop them, but the motorcyclist failed to stop prompting a chase that ended when he crashed his bike into the rear of a northbound Toyota Camry.
The impact of the collision ejected the rider from the bike.
The motorcyclist was taken to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido with severe injuries.
Sadly, he died while undergoing treatment.
No information about the crash was provided.
The accident remains under investigation.
