Moreno Valley, California (September 17, 2020) – A driver was killed after a police chase ended in a crash that happened at an intersection in Moreno Valley on Wednesday morning.

The accident occurred at about 9:45 a.m. September 16, at Indian Avenue and Krameria Avenue.

A Riverside County sheriff’s deputy tried to stop a black jeep driver at Heacock Street and Dracaea Avenue, but the driver failed to stop prompting a pursuit.

The chase ended about three miles after the Jeep collided with a Hyundai Santa Fe mini SUV at the intersection of Indian and Krameria avenues.

The Jeep overturned from the impact of the collision, killing the driver.

The identity of the deceased was not disclosed pending notification of the next-of-kin.

The Hyundai driver and a passenger were taken to the hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.

The crash led to the temporary closure of the intersection.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
