Three Injured in Rancho Cordova Big Rig Crash on Highway 50 near Mather Field Road
Rancho Cordova, California (February 3, 2019) – Three people were injured in a traffic collision Friday night on a Rancho Cordova freeway, according to a local news release.
The crash was reported at about 9:00 p.m. February 1, on Highway 50 near Mather Field Road.
CHP said a pickup truck and a Target big-rig truck collided on eastbound Highway 50 for unknown reasons.
The impact caused the big rig to jackknife across all four lanes of Highway 50. The pickup was pushed into the center divider.
The big rig driver and two other people suffered minor injuries in the crash.
Crews performed cleaning and clearing operations at the scene.
The CHP is investigating the crash.
