One Killed in Long Beach Bicycle Accident on Los Coyotes Diagonal near Palo Verde Avenue
Long Beach, California (February 1, 2019) – A 62-year-old Long Beach man was killed in a bicycle accident Wednesday morning in Long Beach, according to a local news source.
The fatal accident took place at about 11:00 a.m. January 30, on Los Coyotes Diagonal, just south of Palo Verde Avenue.
As per the article, the man was riding a bicycle northbound on Los Coyotes Diagonal and had a green light when he allegedly made an unsafe lane change across multiple traffic lanes and was struck by a 2015 Toyota Corolla, driven by an 88-year-old Long Beach man.
The man was rushed to the hospital where he later died. His name has not been disclosed.
The car driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
The authorities are investigating the crash.
