Authorities Identify Man Killed in Ramona Expressway Crash near Sixth Street in Nuevo as Alejandro Corrales
Nuevo, California (May 22, 2020) – Authorities have identified the man who was killed Wednesday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Nuevo.
Alejandro Corrales, 23, of Perris, died in the accident that happened at around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 20, on the Ramona Expressway, just east of Sixth Street.
According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, Corrales was traveling eastbound on the Ramona Expressway in his Toyota Corolla while a Ford F-150 pickup was heading westbound on the expressway.
For unknown reasons, both vehicles ultimately collided head-on.
Authorities said Corrales died at the scene. The driver of the Ford, a 68-year-old Nuevo resident, had no visible injuries but refused medical aid.
