Man Killed in Riverbank Bicycle Accident on Claus Road near California Street
Riverbank, California (April 4, 2019) – A bicyclist was killed after being hit by a car in the Riverbank area off Stanislaus County on Thursday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 11:30 a.m. on Claus Road near California Street.
As per the report, a male bicyclist was riding his bike in the area when he was hit by a car operated by 24-year-old Jordan Pomares-Boeh of Oakdale.
The unidentified man sustained fatal injuries in the collision.
Pomares-Boeh was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
No other information was provided.
An investigation to determine the cause of the accident is underway.
