14-Year-Old Boy Dies after Elk Grove Bicycle Crash on Whitelock Parkway

Elk Grove, California (October 18, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a Saturday afternoon bicycle accident that killed a 14-year-old boy in Elk Grove.

The accident happened at about 3:19 p.m., on October 17, on Whitelock Parkway.

According to the police, the 14-year-old boy was riding his bicycle across the street inside a pedestrian crosswalk when a vehicle struck him.

The teen was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. 

Alcohol or drugs were not suspected of having played a role in the mishap.

Further details regarding the accident were not immediately available.

An investigation into the collision is underway.
