Christopher Williams Fatal Wrong-Way Motorcycle Crash Involving US Marine on State Route 76 in Bonsall

Bonsall, California (January 4, 2019) – The man who was killed early Tuesday morning in a suspected DUI motorcycle accident involving a US Marine in Bonsall has been identified as Christopher Williams, according to the CHP.

The deadly accident happened shortly before 4:00 a.m. January 1, on the westbound lanes of State Route 76 near Vía Monsera.

CHP said Adam Barooshian, 25, a United States Marine Private, was driving a Lexus IS 300 eastbound on the westbound lanes of the highway when he struck Williams who was riding his Suzuki motorcycle.

A third vehicle was also struck by the crash debris.

Williams died at the scene.

Reportedly, Williams lived in Oceanside and was traveling home from Pauma Casino where he worked as a security guard when the accident happened.

Barooshian was taken to Palomar Medical Center with minor injuries. He was then arrested on suspicion of DUI, and his court date was scheduled for Thursday.

Authorities closed the westbound lanes of the highway for several hours as they worked on the scene.
