Hughson, Californian (October 28, 2020) – The Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office has identified Edwin Medina-Corona, 21, of Waterford, as the motorcyclist who was killed in a traffic accident on Saturday evening west of Hughson.

The fatal motorcycle accident occurred on East Whitmore Avenue near Baldwin Road, at about 6:25 p.m., on October 24.

A 2000 Toyota, driven by Manjit Kaur Samra, 67, of Turlock, was traveling eastbound on Whitmore Avenue when it failed to yield right of way as it turned left onto Baldwin Road, the police said.

Unfortunately, Medina-Corona, who was riding westbound on Whitmore Avenue, approaching Baldwin Road, on a 2020 Kawasaki motorcycle, reportedly struck the Toyota’s right rear.

Medina-Corona was ejected onto the roadway as a result of the crash impact, the officials said.

Sadly, Medina-Corona was pronounced dead at the scene.
