Genaro Viramontes Identified as Rider Killed in Santa Rosa Accident on Todd Road at South Moorland Avenue
Santa Rosa, California (November 7, 2019) – 79-year-old Genaro Viramontes has been identified as the rider killed after a bicycle collision on Tuesday afternoon in the area of Santa Rosa, according to authorities.
The deadly crash occurred at around noon on Tuesday, November 5, on Todd Road at South Moorland Avenue.
As per the CHP officials, a Peterbilt big-rig was stopped at a red light in the eastbound direction while Viramontes was standing next to his bicycle on the southwest corner of the intersection.
Viramontes suffered fatal injuries in the collision.
Officials said the big rig driver remained at the crash site and cooperated with officials.
An investigation is ongoing.
