Jorge Lindayen ID’d as Man Killed in Vallejo Two-Vehicle Crash on Sonoma Boulevard near Lewis Brown Road
Vallejo, California (February 12, 2019) – The 70-year-old Vallejo man who was killed Friday night in a two-vehicle crash which left a 41-year-old woman injured in Vallejo has been identified as Jorge Macaraeg Lindayen, according to the Solano County coroner’s office.
The fatal crash was reported at about 8:13 p.m. February 8, on Sonoma Boulevard north of Lewis Brown Road.
According to the police, Lindayen was driving a white 2000 Saturn SL 1 northbound on Sonoma Boulevard when the car drifted for unknown reasons into the southbound side and was hit by a blue 1999 Dodge Durango, driven by the woman.
Lindayen was taken to the hospital with major injuries where he later died.
The woman sustained minor injuries in the crash.
Speed was an unlikely factor in the crash, but it’s unclear if alcohol was a possible factor.
The Vallejo Police are investigating the crash.
