Khoa Ha Fatal Motorcycle Accident on Highway 101 in San Jose

San Jose, California (February 6, 2019) – The motorcyclist who was killed early Saturday morning in a traffic accident on a San Jose highway has been identified as Khoa Ha, 41, according to the Santa Clara County medical examiner.

The deadly accident happened at about 2:05 a.m. February 2, on Highway 101 near Bailey Road.

CHP said a woman was operating a Dodge Charger when she swerved to avoid debris in the roadway and lost control of the car.

The car then rotated out and became partially disabled, blocking the northbound lanes of the highway. The woman then turned on the hazard lights and tried severally to start the vehicle.

A northbound 2007 Suzuki GSX-R1000 ridden by Ha, then crashed into the disabled car.

The impact ejected Ha from the motorcycle.

Ha was pronounced dead at the scene.

Alcohol and drugs were unlikely factors in the crash.

Officers said it was raining during the crash.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
