Lakhman Hassan Hospitalized after Car Crash on Highway 20 in Grass Valley
Lakhman Hassan Injured in Grass Valley Car Accident on Highway 20 near the Gold Flat Road
Grass Valley, California (August 7, 2020) – A man who was injured in a car accident in on Tuesday afternoon in Grass Valley has been identified as 66-year-old Lakhman Hassan, of Nevada City.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Highway 20 near the Gold Flat Road exit.
Hassan was driving a Honda Civic on Highway 20 when he rear-ended a Volvo sedan driven by 57-year-old Jose Melara, of Arizona.
The authorities said the accident happened at the scene of an initial single-vehicle crash that left the driver, a Grass Valley woman, seriously injured.
Hassan was seriously injured in the accident and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
