Man Killed in Fresno Big Rig Crash on Highway 180 near Blythe Avenue
Fresno, California (January 12, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a semi-truck accident that killed a man on Monday in Fresno.
The accident occurred on Highway 180 near Blythe Avenue on January 11.
A black Volkswagen Jetta, driven by the man, was driving westbound on the highway when, for unknown reasons, it drifted into the eastbound lane and collided with an eastbound big rig, the CHP said.
Sadly, the male driver of the Volkswagen was pronounced dead at the crash site.
The driver of the big rig was not injured.
Intoxication was not suspected of having played a role in the accident.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
