Megan Cota and Tulio Viana ID’d as Two Killed in Pacifica Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 1 near Clarendon Road
Pacifica, California (February 12, 2019) – The two people who were killed early Saturday morning in a wrong-way crash which left three other people injured in Pacifica have been identified as Megan Alyssa Cota, 23, of San Francisco and Tulio de Giovanni Lima Viana, 23, of Daly City, according to the San Mateo County Coroner’s Office.
The fatal crash was reported at about 4:18 a.m. February 9, on Highway 1 near Clarendon Road.
CHP said a Toyota Prius was driving southbound in the northbound lanes of the highway when it collided with an oncoming Chevrolet Silverado head-on.
Cota and Viana, who were passengers in the Prius, were killed in the crash.
The driver of the Prius was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with critical injuries. Two men in the Silverado were also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The CHP is conducting the investigation.
