Michael Tomlinson ID’d as Man Killed in Aliso Viejo Bicycle Accident at Westridge Drive and Wood Canyon Drive
Aliso Viejo, California (January 31, 2019) – The man who was killed Wednesday morning in a hit-and-run bicycle accident in Aliso Viejo has been identified as 51-year-old Michael David Tomlinson of Aliso Viejo, according to a local news release.
The deadly accident occurred at about 6:40 a.m. January 30, on Westridge Drive at Wood Canyon Drive.
As per the release, Tomlinson was riding his bicycle on Westridge Drive and was crossing Woods Canyon Drive when a Volvo driven by Rogelio Martinez Cuin,38, of Lake Forest, struck him.
Cuin fled the scene after the accident.
Firefighters responded to the scene and pronounced Tomlinson deceased.
Cuin’s car was later located about a mile from the crash scene. Cuin was arrested a short distance from his car.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
