Modesta Guadelupe Tecuapacho ID’d as One of Two Killed in Mid-City Two-Vehicle Crash on Santa Monica (10) Freeway near Washington Boulevard
Mid-City, California (May 3, 2019) – The woman who was killed in a two-vehicle crash that also left a man dead Thursday morning in Mid-City has been identified as 55-year-old Modesta Guadelupe Tecuapacho of Los Angeles, according to the CHP.
The fatal crash was reported at about 4:20 a.m. May 2, on the westbound Santa Monica (10) Freeway, just east of the Washington Boulevard exit.
CHP said a Nissan Altima was stalled in the No. 3 lane of the freeway when it was rear-ended by a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck.
Tecuapacho and a man in his 30s, who were passengers in the Altima, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The Altima driver, a man in his 40s, was taken to Cedars Sinai Medical Center with major injuries. The Chevrolet driver, a man, sustained a minor injury in the crash.
The NOs 2, 3 & 4 lanes of the westbound 10 Freeway were closed following the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
