Sedan Driver Killed in Collision on 15 Freeway in Victorville

Victorville, California (May 22, 2020) – One person was killed in a collision involving a parked semi-truck in Victorville early Friday morning, May 22.

The deadly collision happened at about 12:19 a.m. on Interstate 15 Freeway at the Bear Valley Road off-ramp.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a black 1999 Toyota Avalon was traveling on the roadway when it rear-ended a parked 2010 Freightliner Cascadia.

Victorville City Firefighters who responded to the incident had to extricate the driver of the Toyota.

Sadly, the unidentified driver died at the scene of the accident.

The truck driver who reported he was asleep in the cab at the time of the accident was interviewed by the authorities.

No further information about the accident was provided.

The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
