William Dorsey Identified as Man Killed in Palm Desert Pedestrian Accident on Town Center Way near Hahn Road
Palm Desert, California (May 1, 2019) – The man who was killed Monday night in a pedestrian accident in Palm Desert has been identified as William Dorsey,76, of Desert Hot Springs, according to a local news release.
The deadly accident occurred at about 8:10 p.m. April 29, on Town Center Way, north of Hahn Road.
As per the release, Dorsey was walking across Town Center Way when he was struck by a southbound Ford pickup truck driven by a 44-year-old Palm Desert resident. Dorsey was outside of a crosswalk at the time of the accident.
Paramedics responded to the scene and attended to the victim. He was taken Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage where he later died.
The pickup driver stayed at the scene after the accident.
An investigation is underway.
