Woman Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Ming Avenue in Bakersfield

Bakersfield, California (November 21, 2020) – A woman died in a pedestrian accident that occurred on Friday night in Bakersfield.

The fatal pedestrian accident was reported at around 7:30 p.m. November 20, in the 4700 block of Ming Avenue.

The Bakersfield Police Department said the woman was walking on the road outside of a crosswalk when a pickup truck struck her.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name was not immediately disclosed.

The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.

Impairment and speed did not appear to be a factor in the collision.
