Motorcyclist Severely Injured in Santa Clara Accident on Highway 101 near Bowers Avenue
Santa Clara, California (May 23, 2023) – A motorcycle rider sustained serious injuries after colliding with a car in Santa Clara Tuesday afternoon.
The traffic collision was reported at around 4:17 p.m. on the southbound Highway 101 near Bowers Avenue off-ramp.
Reportedly, a rider on a black Kawasaki Knight motorcycle was driving in and out of traffic lanes at a high rate of speed before colliding with a red Honda sedan.
The motorcyclist sustained major injuries in the accident. Paramedics responded and transported the patient to the hospital in unknown condition.
The identity of the victim was not immediately released.
The Nos. 1, 2, and 3 lanes were shut down as officers investigated the scene.
An investigation is ongoing.
