At Least One Victim Killed on Highway 299 Collision in Montgomery Creek

Montgomery Creek, California (October 17, 2020) – A traffic collision involving two vehicles Friday afternoon in Montgomery Creek left at least one person dead.

The California Highway Patrol responded to the deadly crash site shortly before 2:00 p.m. on Highway 299.

The accident happened when a white pickup truck swerved into the opposite lane and crashed with a blue car. The pickup then slammed into a tree upon the impact.

Sadly, at least one victim was pronounced deceased by paramedics who responded to the scene via two medical helicopters.

The CHP is still investigating to determine the cause of the accident.
