Jessica Churchville and Adrian Hill ID’d Victims of Chilcoot on State Route 70
Chilcoot, California (July 11, 2019) – Police officers have identified Jessica Churchville and Adrian Hill as the victims injured in suspected DUI crash on Tuesday evening in Chilcoot, as per a police report.
The incident was reported at around 7:50 p.m. July 9, on State Route 70 in a construction zone.
The California Highway Patrol said a 33-year-old man was unable to slow at the construction zone and rear-ended the Nissan Rogue driven by Jessica Churchville. The force of the impact pushed the Nissan into Adrian Hill, the flagger holding a stop sign at the construction zone, and threw him in the ditch.
Hill was critically injured and was airlifted to the hospital. Churchville suffered major injuries and was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
The suspect was booked at the Plumas County Jail and was charged with felony DUI.
The incident is still under investigation.
