At Least 1 Severely Hurt in Mountain View Accident on Highway 101 at Rengstorff Avenue
Mountain View, California (July 5, 2023) – At least one person was seriously injured after a vehicle collision on Highway 101 in Mountain View Wednesday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the traffic crash occurred on the northbound Highway 101 under Rengstorff off-ramp at around 2:32 p.m.
Authorities arrived at the scene and located five vehicles in the area. The events leading up to the wreck were not immediately established.
At least one person sustained major injuries following the accident.
Two of the vehicles involved suffered moderate front-end damages.
A SigAlert was issued, shutting down lanes 1-5 for an unspecified period.
A tow truck was requested for the site.
An investigation into the mishap is ongoing.
