Steven Tadeo Killed in Yuba-Sutter Accident on Oswald Road at Highway 99
Yuba-Sutter, California (March 21, 2023) – The Sutter County Sheriff’s office has identified Steven Tadeo,30, as a Westwood man killed Sunday afternoon after a crash involving a big rig in Yuba-Sutter.
The fatal crash took place on Oswald Road at Highway 99 at around 12:05 p.m. on March 19, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Tadeo was driving a 2023 Toyota Tacoma northbound on Highway 99 when he collided with a big rig that was making a left turn at the intersection.
After the crash, the Toyota was left underneath the big rig.
Tadeo was killed in the accident.
Highway 99 was closed between Barry Road and Oswald Road as officials investigate the incident.
An investigation into the fatal wreck is ongoing.

Driver Killed in Sutter County Accident on Highway 99 near Yuba City
Sutter County, California (March 20, 2023) – 30-year-old Westwood man was killed after his car slammed into a big rig Sunday afternoon in Sutter County.
According to the Yuba Sutter California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at around 12:05 p.m. on March 19, on Highway 99 near Yuba City.
A Toyota pickup was traveling north on Highway 99 approaching Oswald Road when it collided with a big rig that was trying to make a left turn on the Highway.
The semi-truck was traveling at 65 mph at the time of the accident. The car was left underneath after the collision.
The Toyota driver was declared dead at the accident scene.
Sandeep Kumar, 36, driver of the big rig who was uninjured remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
Alcohol and drugs were not suspected in the crash.
Highway 99 was closed between Barry Road and Oswald Road for about two hours.
No more information about the incident was provided.
The crash remains under investigation.
