Man, Woman Injured in Vacaville Car Crash at Christine and Ulatis Drives
Vacaville, California (April 6, 2019) – A man and woman were hospitalized after their vehicles collided Thursday afternoon at an intersection in Vacaville, a local news source reported.
The accident occurred at about 4 p.m. at the intersection of Christine and Ulatis drives near Cooper Elementary School.
As per the article, Vacaville Police Department said the crash involved a commercial van used by a local dog grooming company and a Jeep.
The van was allegedly turning right onto Ulatis Drive when it collided with the Jeep which was traveling on Ulatis from the direction of Nut Tree Road. It was not clear which car hit the other.
The driver of the Jeep, identified as a 47-year-old man, sustained serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The 36-year-old woman from Vacaville driving the van sustained cuts and bruises and was also hospitalized.
There were no animals in the van at the time of the incident.
The crash caused a closure of several blocks of Ulatis Drive for hours.
Authorities are investigating the accident.
