Korson Coulter Fatal Weaverville Car Collision on Highway 299 near Little Browns Creek Road

Weaverville 2-Vehicle Collision on Highway 299 near Little Browns Creek Road Kills Korson Coulter
Weaverville, California (January 19, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol has identified the driver who died following a two-vehicle collision in Weaverville Monday morning as Korson Coulter.
The fatal car accident took place on Highway 299 near Little Browns Creek Road at about 8:15 a.m.
The accident happened when a Ford pickup driven by Nicholas Utne west on Highway 299 veered off into the opposite lane at a curve for unknown reasons.
The Ford then crashed with oncoming Chevrolet pickup operated by Coulter eastbound on the highway.
The Chevrolet was pushed off the side of the road and down an embankment upon the impact.
Sadly, Coulter was pronounced dead at the scene.
Three was no other victim hurt, including Utne.
Meanwhile, the wreck resulted in the closure of Highway 299 for an unknown time.
Intoxication was not considered as a factor in the wreck.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
