1 Killed and 3 Injured in Barrington Two-Car Crash at Route 59 and Route 22
Barrington, Illinois (January 2, 2018) – 86-year-old Mary Paulik was identified as the woman who was killed in a car accident which left three other people injured on Sunday, December 24.
The Christmas Eve accident occurred at about 5:58 p.m. in the area of Route 59 and Route 22.
According to a local news report, the woman, a resident of Lake Barrington, was a passenger in a Toyota Corolla which was traveling northbound when the driver lost control of the car which then veered across the centerline and collided with an oncoming Toyota Highlander.
Paulik sustained serious injuries and was taken to Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge. Sadly, the woman succumbed her injuries on Monday, December 25 at about 11 a.m.
A 63-year-old female driver of the Corolla was taken Good Shepherd Hospital for treatment in critical condition.
A 55-year-old male driver of the Highlander and his 55-year-old female passenger were also taken to Good Shepherd Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
