Woman Severely Hurt in Menlo Park Pedestrian Accident on Nealon Park
Menlo Park, California (June 13, 2018) – A woman was severely injured after an alleged DUI collision Friday night in the area of Menlo Park, according to a local news source.
The crash was logged at around 10:30 p.m. June 7, along Nealon Park.
As per the report, a 34-year-old Maurice Vasquez of Redwood City was driving a stolen vehicle when he attempted to hit a woman who was on the street. Vasquez-Lopez hit the woman, and also tried to crash into a police vehicle that was responding to the incident.
The woman suffered critical injuries as a result of the crash. It was not immediately known if the injured party was transported to the hospital for further treatment.
The victim’s name and their current condition have not yet been released.
Authorities arrested Vasquez-Lopez on suspicion of driving under the influence, attempted murder, hit-and-run from an injury crash, possession of the stolen vehicle and resisting arrest.
No other information concerning this crash was provided.
