Hesperia, California (August 14, 2019) – A 13-year-old boy was injured after being hit by a suspected hit-and-run driver in Hesperia on Saturday evening.

According to a local news source, the accident happened at about 5:20 p.m. August 10, in the 18000 block of Dunkirk Street near Windsor Avenue.

As per the report, a 13-year-old boy was trying to cross the road when he was hit by a car.

The unidentified boy sustained minor injuries and was transported to Desert Valley Hospital for treatment.

The motorist, 27-year-old Dylan Blaine Landtiser, fled the scene after the accident but was later arrested on suspicion of DUI and felony hit-and-run.

No further information was provided.
