Edward Quinones Killed in Clearlake Bicycle Accident on Boyles Avenue
Clearlake, California ( January 26, 2023) – The California Highway Patrol has identified 48-year-old Edward Quinones of Clearlake as the bicyclist killed in a crash last week Tuesday in Clearlake.
The accident happened at about 5:45 p.m. on January 25 on Boyles Avenue near 26th Avenue.
Police said a blue Toyota Tundra driven by 18-year-old Johnny Leon-Rojas of Santa Rosa, for unknown reasons, crashed into a bicycle operated by Quinones.
Quinones suffered fatal injuries and was declared dead at the accident scene.
Authorities arrested Johnny, who was booked into the Lake County Jail for vehicular manslaughter.
An investigation is ongoing.
