Crash in Hesperia Leaves One Fatality

From a fatal car crash, a two-year-old girl in Hesperia, California lost her life Saturday morning on April 2, 2016. Allegations of the crash were placed on the girl’s father–who was also the driver. And authorities later concluded he–was in fact–driving under the influence. The crash involved the party’s vehicle alone, and resulted in a rollover that ejected the girl from the car. The incident was reported around 11:10am that morning, where it took place on Arrowhead Lake Road close to Whitehaven Street.

The law enforcement officers who responded to the crash established that the father driving the four-door Nissan Maxima sped beyond another vehicle, before he abruptly lost control of the car. Losing control of his vehicle, the father then turned sharply off the road. From here the vehicle tumbled over. His daughter was then ejected out of the car, where she later died in the hospital due to her injuries. Other victims of the incident were reported, including the girl’s 6-month-old sibling who was hospitalized with minimal injuries. A five-year-old girl and eight-year-old boy were also passengers of the crash. These two suffered minimal injuries as well.

The father was promptly arrested by authorities, as paramedics handled a light gash on his face. Nevertheless, his arrest charges consist of felony DUI and child endangerment.
With all response teams in effect, Arrowhead Lake Road’s two lanes opened back up at 7:30pm.
