Wednesday, February 17, 2016- One woman found dead after her car veered off road and wrapped around a tree, killing her on impact.
Occurring Wednesday evening, at approximately 7 PM, a young woman was driving her Honda accord on East hatch. For unknown reasons, she suddenly went off road, spun in a clockwise direction and crashed into two walnut trees, wrapping the car around one.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident occurred in East Hatch Road which is just east of Seventh Street. While officers investigated, East Hatch Road was shut down. The area between seventh street and Euclid avenue was not accessible.
The woman was identified as Patsy Campos, 26, by the Stanislaus county’s coroner on Thursday.
Emergency crew struggled to get Campos out due to the condition of the vehicle. They used a latter and other equipment to access the vehicle from the passenger side. The driver side was wrapped around one tree while the Passenger side was completely off the ground.
Campos was alone in the vehicle and their are no reports of any other victims.
