Castaic, California-Two Killed in Big Rig Crash on Highway 126; Lemons Spilled Across Highway- February 23, 2016

Two people suffered fatalities, leaving a third critically injured in a tragic three-car pile-up on Highway 126 on Tuesday, February 23, 2016.
The California Highway Patrol confirms that a skatebed truck, a car and a big rig wrecked together on State Route 126 at Chiquito Canyon Road, causing the route to be closed, both ways, while cleaning the wreckage.
The skatebed truck reportedly scattered lemons across the road during impact, while heading southbound on 126. At the same time, a Toyota Corolla signaled off of Chiquito Canyon Road, in front of the skatebed truck, causing the initial wreck.
The skatebed truck became knocked off of the road way into the far lanes, turning to head on traffic, when a big rig collided head-on. The California Highway Patrol expressed that the Corolla stopped 150 feet from initial impact.
Drivers from the big rig and Toyota Corolla were pronounced dead on impact. The skatebed truck driver suffered only minor injuries, being released from the hospital later.
Other frequent motorists of Highway 126 define the intersection off of Chiquito Canyon Road declare caution when traveling due to high speeds from the highway traffic.
