Motorcyclist killed in late night crash

A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on April 13th while going heading out to the Southbound onramp at Sand Canyon in the Santa Clarita area. The accident happened at night, and on the morning of April 14th police shut the ramp down.

The motorcyclist was declared dead when investigators arrived at the scene. His identity was not released, but the next of kin is being contacted.

The accident happened at around midnight when the motorcyclist was entering the freeway he collided with the raised concrete curb and he was immediately ejected from his cycle.

Moments after the crash a big rig truck collided with the motorcycle, sending it flying. Currently, investigators do not know if the motorcyclist was hit in the crash.

The clean up for this accident was extensive. It started around 9 am, and it lasted until noon. The police are still looking into the case and trying to determine a cause.
