Camarillo woman dies in tragic Motorcycle crash

Officials from the California Highway Patrol are currently investigating a case of a motorcycle colliding with a Metrolink train. Currently, they believe that drugs may have played a role.

The motorcycle had two riders, Garrett Vongunten and Nadya Unger. The two riders were 26 and 23 respectively. Both riders were injured during the crash, which happened on April 21st at around 6pm.

Garrett was driving the Harley-Davidson motorcycle south down Las Possas Road, Unger was riding on the back of the vehicle. Vongunten reached a train crossing but failed to stop for the crossing, running the vehicle right into a Metrolink train that was heading west.

Investigators quickly arrive on the scene and when he was found to be under the influence of drugs he was placed under arrest.

Unger was dead at the scene. Unger was from the Camarillo area and had lived there her whole life.
