Motorcyclists Killed in Fresno Highway 41

FRESNO, Calif. — A 33-year-old male motorcycle driver died after a car slammed into him on Highway 41 in Fresno.

The California Highway Patrol identified the motorcyclist as Michael Manis.

Manis lost control of his motorcycle and fell of his bike in Fresno on Highway 41 close to Bullard. As the motorcycle victim attempted to get out of the middle of the highway, a car behind him fatally hit him.

The driver of the car remained at the accident scene while the officers investigated the scene. The CHP does not plan to press charges on the driver of the vehicle.

California highway Patrol Sgt. Mike Trenholm said, we believe this was an accident. We do not believe the driver of the car did anything wrong. The driver was in the wrong location at the wrong time.

CHP have ruled out alcohol and speed as contributing factors to the deadly accident.
