Woman Dies in Clovis Vehicle Collision on Minnewawa and International Avenues
Clovis, California (May 30, 2023) – A woman was killed after a two-vehicle collision at an intersection Monday afternoon near Clovis.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 4:30 May 29 on Minnewawa and International avenues.
A red Mercedes was speeding, traveling east on International Avenue, failed to stop at a Minnewawa Avenue sign, and crashed into a northbound black sedan on Minnewawa.
Both vehicles ended up in an open field after the incident.
The female Honda driver was declared dead at the accident site.
Two children aged 8 and 10 Honda occupants were Hospitalized with moderate injuries.
The Mercedes driver sustained minor injuries.
Alcohol and drugs were not believed to be a factor in the mishap.
The crash remains under investigation.
