BAKERSFIELD, California (July 26, 2016) – As per a CHP report, at least one person was killed following a collision between a vehicle and big rig truck early Tuesday morning on bear Mountain Boulevard at Ashe Road.
The 3:44 AM crash occurred when a vehicle that was traveling east on Bear Mountain BLVD crashed into a semi-tractor trailer truck. Reportedly, the victim was trying to avoid colliding with another motorist, who was attempting to pass the big rig truck, and ended underneath the semi-truck.
According to the report, the motorist who caused the accident did not have the clearance to pass the semi-tractor.
The driver succumbed to their injuries at the scene. No other injuries were reported. The police are looking for the driver who caused the deadly crash.
