Martin Aleman Acuna Dies in Hospital After He was struck by Car On Saturday in Riverside
Riverside Man Fatally Struck by Car on Van Buren Boulevard at Philbin Avenue
Riverside, California (November 7, 2016) – Martin Aleman Acuna, 51, of Riverside is dead after he was struck by a vehicle on Saturday afternoon on Van Buren Boulevard at Philbin Avenue, according to the Riverside County Coroner’s Office news release.
The accident took place at about 4:20 p.m. on Saturday afternoon when a 22-year-old driver of a Chevy Cavalier made a left turn out of a strip mall to go south on Van Buren Boulevard. At the same time, Acuna was crossing the Van Buren Blvd at Philbin Avenue in a crosswalk. Acuna was then struck by the car.
The riverside man was rushed to Riverside community Hospital with major head trauma. Later on Saturday evening Acuna was on life support.
Unfortunately, the Acuna succumbed to his injuries on Sunday afternoon at about 12:22 p.m.
The crash is under investigation by the police and witnesses are asked to call the Riverside Police at 951-826-8723.
