Bicyclist Rushed to Hospital after Being Struck and Injured by car in San Diego
San Diego, CA: Cyclist Struck By Car on 47th and University Ave
San Diego, California (November 9, 2016) – A 27-year-old bicyclist was injured Monday night after he was struck by a vehicle while riding, according to a police report.
The accident took place at about 8:50 p.m. Monday night near the intersection of 47th and University Avenue.
Reportedly, the rider was heading south on 47th Street when a car, that was eastbound on University Avenue, Struck him.
The cyclist was ejected from his bicycle onto the vehicle and suffered a broken lake, bruises, and bumps.
The victim was rushed to Scripps Mercy Hospital and was expected to be okay.
The driver of the vehicle involved in the crash remained at the scene of the accident and was cooperative with the investigators.
As per the report, the man did not have his lights on and had failed to stop at stop sign leading to the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
