Kent Man Killed in 2-Vehicle Collision at Washington Avenue and West Meeker Street in Tacoma

Tacoma, Washington (March 23, 2018) – A man was killed Thursday morning in a two-vehicle collision in Tacoma, according to Kent Police report.

The incident took place at the intersection of Washington Avenue and West Meeker Street on Thursday, March 22.

According to the Kent Police report, a sports utility vehicle and a mangled Honda were found at the scene of the incident.

Police said one of the vehicles was traveling eastbound on Meeker and collided with the other, which was heading westbound and was turning left onto Washington Avenue.

The 83-year-old Kent man was pronounced dead at the incident site.

The other driver, a 70-year-old Federal Way woman, was taken to a hospital with unknown injuries.

Roads in the area were reopened just before 3:30 p.m.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
