3 Killed in Wrong-Way Crash on Interstate 10 in Arizona

Phoenix, Arizona (March 25, 2018) – Three people were killed Saturday morning in a wrong-way driver crash in Phoenix, according to authorities.

The fatal crash occurred at around 10:50 a.m. Saturday, March 24 on westbound Interstate 10, just east of Quartzsite.

According to the authorities, a vehicle entered  Interstate 10 at an off-ramp going the wrong way in the eastbound lanes. About 500 feet after entering the interstate, the vehicle collided head-on with another vehicle.

The three people were pronounced dead at the site of the incident.

The wrong-way driver was taken to a local hospital.

Officials have not yet released the names of the involved parties.

No further information regarding the crash is available at this time.
