Woman Killed, 2 Injured in 2-Vehicle Collision at Bangerter Highway and California Avenue in Salt Lake City
Salt Lake City, Utah (March 26, 2018) – A woman was killed, and two other people were injured Sunday morning in a two-vehicle collision in Salt Lake City, according to authorities.
The deadly collision happened at about 11:30 a.m. Sunday, March 25 in the intersection at Bangerter Highway and California Avenue.
According to the authorities, a Jeep Grand Cherokee was eastbound on California Avenue when a red passenger car was northbound on Bangerter Highway.
The Grand Cherokee ran a red light at a high rate of speed and crashed into the red passenger car.
The drivers of both vehicles were transported to a hospital. The woman, who was a passenger in the Grand Cherokee died at the scene.
The parties involved have not yet been identified.
Westbound lanes were shut down during the investigation.
No further information regarding the deadly crash was immediately provided.
The fatal crash remains under investigation.
