One Killed, another Injured in Fillmore Township Crash on M-40
1 Killed, 1 Injured in Car Crash with Semi-Truck on M-40 in Fillmore Township
Fillmore Township, Michigan (March 29, 2018) – One person was killed while another was injured in a collision between a car and a semi-truck early Thursday morning in Fillmore Township.
According to authorities, the crash happened at about 4:12 a.m. on M-40 near the 140th Avenue intersection.
Police said the semi-truck was heading south on M-40 when it crashed into the passenger’s side of an SUV, driven westbound on 140th Avenue by Julie Shaffer, 30, of Holland.
Shaffer died in the crash. The semi-truck driver sustained minor injuries.
Police are conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the crash.
