Motorcyclist Killed in Mount Dora Crash on State Road 46
Motorcyclist Struck, Killed by Vehicle at State Road 46 and State Road 453 in Mount Dora
Mount Dora, Florida (April 2, 2018) – A motorcyclist was killed Sunday morning after he was struck by a vehicle and pushed into another in Mount Dora, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident happened just after 12:00 a.m. Sunday, April 1 at the intersection of State Road 46 and State Road 453.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 37-year-old Jasson Sasser of Mount Dora was riding a Honda motorcycle westbound on State Road 46 when he slowed at a stop light at State Road 453 behind a Ford Fiesta driven by Samuel Smith, 33.
A Ford sports utility vehicle driven by 24-year-old Arizbet Vasques failed to stop behind Sasser and pushed him into the Fiesta.
Sasser was transported to Florida Hospital Waterman, where she was declared deceased.
Vasques was also taken to Florida Hospital Waterman with minor injuries.
Smith sustained minor injuries.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
